2010 senate race welcomes Nadeau

Democrat Joseph Nadeau is also in the process of creating a campaign to run for the U.S. Senate in 2010. The infrastructure includes a website: www.nadeau2010.com that is not yet up and running.

Hodes, the congressman from the 2nd district, said he would be a candidate almost immediately after incumbent Republican Judd Gregg became President Barack Obama's nominee for commerce secretary and Gov. John Lynch named Republican J. Bonnie Newman to fill out the term.

Nadeau, the former state Supreme Court justice, told Politico.com he was motivated by the president's call to serve:

“President Obama has challenged everybody to think beyond their usual routine to see what their contribution can be, and I’m going to see whether there’s something I can do beyond the judiciary."
