Yesterday, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the President of the United States flew in on Air Force One, and when he departed the jet not a single member of Nevada’s Democratic Party leadership was there to greet him. The only person to show up was Mayor Carolyn Goodman who is not a democrat, but has respect for the office and the leader of our Nation. Mayor Goodman showed class, something that seems to be missing from the Democratic Party leaders in Nevada.
Those democratic leaders, who were not otherwise involved with urgent business elsewhere, should have been there to support the President, support Nevada and support Nevada democrats.
If Nevada’s democratic leaders and hopefuls in coming elections want to show Nevada democratic voters how not to get excited for upcoming elections, well, you are succeeding.
The video on local news stations of the President walking down the stairs from Air Force One and no democrats there to greet him, was demeaning to every democratic voter in the State and disrespectful to the President.
Where were Dina Titus, Ruben Kihuen, John Oceguera, Steven Horsford or any of Nevada’s democratic leaders last night at 6:40pm?
When President Obama was in Las Vegas last October, it was the same pitiful site, not a single democratic leader showed up to meet and greet the President, only Mayor Goodman.
Nevada Democratic Party voters expect more from their Party leaders, and not the disrespect they have shown the President of the United States, their inactions only boost the excitment for the GOP.

*According to the Whitehouse the only people that were allowed to greet the President when he landed were the Governor of Nevada, the Mayor of Las Vegas and the Nevada Congressional delgation which is currently in session in Washington DC, and that Nevada Legislators were not on the list of greeters for the Official Whitehouse visit.
