Amid economic worries that affect our travel and tourism decisions, a new intercity bus service offers an affordable option for those riding between D.C. and New York. This first class service is called Tripper Bus. For as little as $1 each way, it connects these two cities.
Service begins on February 13. Travelers can make reservations for its new schedules, with convenient pick up and drop off locations at the Rossyln and Bethesda Metro locations for DC Metropolitan area and near Penn Station in NYC starting today at www.TripperBus.com or by calling 1-877-826-2874.
Tripper Bus offers promotional fares starting at $1 each way, with additional seats available at $5, $10 and the standard price of $25 each way. Beginning on President's Day Weekend, more fares will be added. Not bad- we save money, ease traffic on I-95, help the environment, and still get to party on or visit friends or relatives in the biggest two tourism destinations on the East Coast. I'm game.

Sounds cool! I travel a lot between the two cities and have been using Vamoose bus till now. Wasn't too pleased with their service. Some drivers were nasty and buses are delayed frequently. Will definitely give this new service a try.
will give this new venture a try but don't really trust them yet.I have been using Vamoose for a number of years and have had great experience with them. Don't know why they stopped going to DC but I'd rather go to Bethesda to catch the bus than use the chinese buses or washington deluxe. tried them all.
just read in the Washington Business Journal that the owner of Tripper is Betty Unger from Washington Deluxe. I guess no need to elaborate. just Yelp or Google blogs for details of their (dis)service.
Shirly,I traveled with this new service on Friday 6pm bus. Had a great trip. It was just fabulous.Bus was clean. The driver was friendly, bus had wifi with power outlets which was cool, and bus left on time. I would definetly use their service again.

Looks like the new kid on the block has the competitors upset! Well, that's selfish...in this economy, it's about providing the best value and deals for travelers while providing flexibility and convenience. Fares starting at $1, what can you possibly complain about!?
