The start of last year's Marine Corps Marathon.
Washington's most revered marathon will host its massive health and fitness expo in a new location this year.
The Marine Corps Marathon Health and Fitness Expo will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, on Metro's yellow and green line, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and 24. More than 200 vendors will be on hand with goodies and free samples, and runners can catch speeches from running experts like Runner's World's Bart Yasso.
In other Marine Corps Marathon news: Any runner wearing Brooks MCM 2009 apparel or Brooks shoes on race day gets to use the Brooks VIP Porta Potty, which features flushing toilets, partitioned stalls, climate control, a fragrance dispenser, hot and cold water and even an oak vanity and mirror.
The marathon, which kicks off at 8 a.m. Oct. 25, is 46 days away.
