Prince George's County and D.C. police responded to the sounds of gunshots just before midnight Tuesday. That is when officers discovered a man dead in the parking lot of Oxon Terrace apartments in the 2500 block of Southern Avenue.
Police later identified him as 32-year-old Leland Derelle Hunt of the 4300 block of Telfair Boulevard in Camp Springs. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers broadcast a lookout for a van with Virginia tags that fled the scene, but have not yet speculated on a motive or suspect.
