GREEN DMV hosts first ever "Green Night Out"

On Tuesday, July 13, 2010 the
GREEN DMV will host “Green Night Out”, with emcee NBC News Anchor Wendy Rieger and special Guest Green For All founder Van Jones.
GREEN DMV represents an initiative to educate citizens of the DMV – or the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia areas. It serves to promote sustainability for low-income communities as a pathway out of poverty through education, building a green-job workforce, providing technical assistance, and facilitating communication among community groups. Founders Philip O’Neal and Rhon Hayes began developing the ideals and framework for this organization in 2007. In 2010, GREEN DMV was awarded the
Washingtonian Magazine's Green Award.
