A Texas-based company, named GPS Pal, has a way of taking your expensive GPS navigation device and moving it from the vulnerable, thief magnet of a windscreen or dashboard and stick in a discreetly situated cup holder.

The device, named “GPS Pal,” will hold any brand Global Positioning System (GPS) unit in your vehicle’s cup holder for quicker access and unobstructed windshield visibility – making getting directions easier and driving safer.

The cup mount keeps your GPS out of the hot sun (and view of potential thieves). No more reaching to program your GPS, no more wires to untangle.

The device conveniently holds unit and all wire attachments and can be used with the suction cup mount that is included with your GPS original equipment. Fits cup holders in automobiles, golf cars, NEV's, utility vehicles and anything else that has a cup holder. The GPS Pal can also be used as a real cup holder for drinks alone.

“Interesting. But then I have to take my eyes off the road to see it, let alone change something,” said Izzy, in reader comments to an article posted on GeekAlerts.com.

Do you have a GPS Pal? What do you think?
