Rock and Roll Climber Wii Balance Board Game
1080 snowboarding: Rock and Roll Climber Wii Balance Board Game

Nintendo and Giles Goddard's Vetei Inc., the developer behind such games as 1080 Snowboarding and Doshin the Giant, are currently working on a new Wii title called Rock N' Roll Climber. Giles Goddard, who was a developer on Nintendo's mega-hit Nintendo 64 title Super Mario 64, and lead developer for 1080 Snowboarding is Vetei's CEO and lead programmer for the Rock N' Roll Climber title.

Confusion and rumors as to what type of game this title is going to be escalated earlier last week before the Entertainment Software Rating Board gave the game the rating E: for everyone and posted a game description of the Wii title, dispelling rumors that Rock N' Roll Climber is a sequel to classic Ice Climber for the NES.

We did some digging and found credible sources and facts that dispel the title's mystery and rumors.

Game description: Rock N' Roll Climber is a rock climbing game in which players must climb up various formations within a time limit. Players navigate rocks and walls by grabbing onto divots and edges and positioning themselves to ensure they do not fall off.

Platform: Nintendo Wii.

What is still unconfirmed about Rock N' Roll Climber is whether the title will make use of the Wii Balance Board. We did furhter digging to get to the truth. In an interview with Cubed3 last year, Giles talked about concentrating on the WiiWare forefront for financial reasons, but also is quoted stating: "Our current game (being developed) uses the Balance Board actually, and it’s due out in September on WiiWare." note this Balance Board WiiWare title was has not yet been released and he could be referring to Rock N' Roll Climber.

Vitei Inc

Vetei Inc. was founded by Giles Goddard and is based out of Kyoto, responsible for the Japan-only Theta, a Nintendo DS game that was released in 2007.
