Tapeworm
On The Tyra Show Tyra's guests discussed a new and somewhat disturbing diet trend called the Tapeworm Diet. A tapeworm is a parasite that lives in the intestinal tract of humans and animals. This new fad diet involves ingesting a live tapeworm in hopes that it will eat half of the food you consume and result in weight loss.
The diet is illegal in the U.S., but tapeworms are being sold on the black market. American businessmen go to Africa in search of tapeworm eggs. They force cows to eat the eggs. Then, the cows are slaughtered to harvest the tapeworms so they can be sold. This diet is dangerous and can be life threatening. Tapeworms can grow to enormous lengths exceeding 10 ft long and they can even travel to your brain.
The desire to lose weight can drive you crazy, but the Tapeworm Diet is a new fad diet you should avoid. It is not an all natural diet and by no means safe. For the thousands of dollars you spend buying a tapeworm to ingest you can just invest in a nutritionist and a personal trainer.

i think thats just gross lol
Insanely stupid. Tapeworms won't "eat" the food you do, they'll just suck out the vitamins leaving you malnourished and with general ill health. I really hope no-one would ever consider anything as stupid and disgusting as this!
Seriously - just eat a bit less and move about a bit more!
I'm scarred for life...
This is crazy, I just got diagnoesed with a tapeworm that I apparently had for 4-5 years and now I have cysts that have traveled to my brain and heart, causing me abnormal heart rthyms and seizures. Thats the most disgusting horrible diet I have EVER heard of, why would you wish something like that on yourself? I also have a protuding belly from it growing so big. I didnt ask for this and Im afraid when it comes out :(. Oh, and you will have horrible abdominal pains and your hair will start falling out, mine has!!!
