Former President George W. Bush will address the crowd July 4th in Woodward’s Crystal Beach Arena during their “Let Freedom Ring 2009”.
The festival begins on July 3rd at 9 am in Crystal Beach Park with free entertainment, food vendors, kiddie rides, Little Queen and King Contest, and an After Hours Dance. Friday’s concert in the Crystal Beach Arena begins at 5:30 pm with Mike McClure, Stoney LaRue, Asleep at the Wheel, Bo Phillips, and Tanya Tucker performing.
On Saturday, July 4th the day begins with a 5K Run and Community Pancake Breakfast. Family fun is available throughout the day with turtle races, entertainment, food vendors, kiddie rides, and free swimming at the Aquatics Center. At noon a free hot dog feed will be sponsored by the Woodward Elks and Business Professional Women. Gates open at 4 pm for seating at the Crystal Beach Stadium where former President George W. Bush will address the crowd at 6 pm followed with a park dedication by Woodward’s Mayor Bill Fanning. Marty Stuart and Sawyer Brown will provide the evening’s entertainment followed with fireworks at 11 pm which will conclude the Independence Day celebration of Woodward’s “Let Freedom Ring 2009.”
