Matthews Alive Festival in downtown Matthews, NC is this weekend. This free four day event for the entire family has everything that a great outdoor festival should. There are carnival games and rides, children’s area with entertainment and activities, vendors of arts and crafts; local, regional and national artist entertainment.
This last official summer holiday weekend wouldn’t be complete without a Matthew’s Alive Labor Day Parade. The parade starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 5th to include local high school marching bands, floats and special guest appearances.
Matthews Alive starts tonight, Friday September 4th, at 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. The “All you can ride Arm Band night” is tonight so purchase yours for $15. Hours for the remainder of the weekend are:

• No Glass containers are allowed.
• No Dogs or Pets are allowed per Matthews Town Ordinances – (Assistance dogs are allowed).
• No Bikes, Roller Blades or Skateboards are permitted within the Festival area.
