Next month, as the second installment of the Twilight saga hits theaters, Kristen Stewart will make the rounds on daytime and late night talk shows to promote New Moon.

But will she return to the couch on The Late Show with David Letterman?

Last year, Stewart's awkward appearance with David Letterman left people scratching their heads, as the young Twilight star seemed spaced out and, shall we say, just not "with it."

Just this week, Time magazine cited David Letterman's interview with Kristen Stewart to their list of
the ten most awkward interviews in the history of the Late Show with David Letterman.

Stewart: We have this big European press tour to do. I'm not sure if we're going to end up in London or Berlin, but wherever we end up, I'm going to drive to Russia. I'm very, very excited about that.
Letterman [deadpan:] Let's hope for Berlin.
[Audience laughs, understands geography.]
Stewart [oblivious to joke:] I'm actually hoping for Russia. Very much so, yeah.
Letterman: Um.

She was not "out of it". She was being Kristen. She gets nervous during interviews and don't always know what to say. Not every celebrity can be outgoing all the time.. She's not fake like most celebrities are, and she's not pretending to be someone else.
Letterman was being a jerk, instead of making her feel comfortable during the interview he just made her feel even more nervous.
