If you are looking for a new place to meet people, join Bay Area Boomers at its Grand Opening Party in Redwood City on Saturday, February 6. Founder, Teri Darnell created the organization because “Baby Boomers are healthy and active, but there are few options for socializing and meeting new people. My mission is to host great parties at nice venues with 100% dance music. After all, we’re the generation that invented partying!” She will be holding monthly parties in various locations, including San Francisco, the Peninsula and Silicon Valley.
Darnell’s plans include “dances, happy hour mixers, maybe wine trips – anything of interest to the group. I intend to provide fun events for active Bay Area Boomers.”
Grand Opening Party DJ, Alan Waltz will play a variety of music from the 60’s and 70’s. But he’s not limited to music from the past. “Because I have kids, I know there’s a lot of great music coming out every day,” Darnell acknowledges. “The music will be geared to our generation. Requests will be considered and honored when possible.”
Bay Area Boomers events welcome fun people of all ages. Although many singles are planning to attend, couples who love to dance and meet others are welcome. If you sign up by January 31, a free cocktail is included in the ticket price.
