It is a Harry Potter fan's dream come true! A theme park bringing the incredible world that J.K. Rowling created to life-- and that is exactly what the Wizarding World of Harry Potter does! In addition, imagine having the actor that portrays Harry  there. Daniel Radcliffe was on-hand yesterday, as well as many of his Harry Potter co-stars, for the opening day of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Word on the street was that the theme park was at full capacity, which is not exactly surprising since Harry Potter is the most successful franchise of all time. However, the wait to get into the park at the end of the line at one point, was almost seven or eight hours. Hopefully people brought their Harry Potter books to re-read, so the wait didn't feel too long.

Daniel Radcliffe was as charming as ever yesterday. Photos were released by Universal of Daniel walking through Hogsmeade, as well as riding "Flight of the Hippogriff" along with some younger fans. It looked like tons upon tons of fun!

You can view photos of Dan at yesterday's festivities in the slideshow below! In addition, you can see a video of Dan at the opening ceremony of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Many, many thanks to DanRadcliffe.co.uk and SnitchSeeker.com for their videos, photos, and reports!

Great if you're D. Radcliffe & co. or a reporter - but for the rest of us, it was horrible. A rip off - 8+ hours of waiting just to get into the theme park, then 2+ hours for whatever else, including simply buying a butterbeer. Universal Orlando was sorely lacking in preparation for the crowds - they could not handle it at all. We did not see Dumbledor's office, the Gryffindor Common Room, The 3 Broomsticks - or anything else that we expected because by the time we got there it was too late. We started at 8am. But we now realize that you had to buy into the MGM/Universal package deal to even get close. So why wasn't this announced? What a rip off.
