Tom Bergeron
Tom Bergeron, the hard-working co-host of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, has revealed on his Facebook page that he will announce the cast of Season 9 (yes, it's almost here) on Aug. 17.
Bergeron once again will take his announcement to Good Morning America that morning, apparently skipping last season's crazy countdown during primetime ABC-TV on a Sunday night .
So let the rumors and speculation officially begin! We've already written here about the possibility that designer Vera Wang will be a cast member. But who do you think will be cast on Season 9? How about some names and scoops, people?

We need to see Matt LeBlanc on DWTS!!!! It would be the perfect thing for him, especially since he is probably the only Friends star who doesn't have anything going for him!!!! He was definitely the funniest Friend on the show!!! He would be really good for the ratings too!

Edyta gets alot of the oldies and the bumblers because she is just so easy to get along with. Kym gets alot of them also. I agree start giving Edyta and Kym the hot younger guys and let Cheryl and the others have the bumblers and oldies.
I wish that Cheryl would get a good partner this season since she and gille was gipped the trophy season 8 they were the absolute best and they give it to thunder thighs

I'd like to see Henry Rollins. I just like to listen to him. Seeing him, n seeing him dance, would be great! Also, how about Stephine Myers? Or a few other authors, she's just the main one that comes to mind right now:)
I agree, give Edyta and Kym the better ones, and give Cheryl and Julianne the all-time losers, enough is enough. On the other hand, although I like Mark, give him the losers along with Derek. They had their time, give the others a chance to shine.
Kym deserves a great partner this year. Seriously. No one knew Warren Sapp's big arse could dance.
I heard that Donny Osmond has made it known he is interested. We'll see if he's UP for it!

We started a group for Greg Louganis on Facebook (Greg Louganis for DWTS)it has grown to over 1000 members in five days and is really picking up speed. We like the idea of voted before the show even begins!
i thnk lucus grabel should b w julianne( too bad she isnt doin dwts this season) and ashley tisdale w derek. Adam lambert should be w lacey mae. and this is a long shot but chris daughty w chelsie. i thnk cortney galiano (frm sytycd) should become a pro. I agree w/ Maddy - I love the show - but more so when I know someone that's on it. If you know someone that's on it or at least can recognize the celebrity - it's much more interesting. I support dwts viewer - in wishing ro almost demanding;) that Edyta and Alec (if he's on season 9) get normal partners, b/c it's about time!!! But, not only that - I hope that they'll get ones that can or are willing to at least put in the effort! B/c if you guys remember Paulina and even Josie... Also someone who has a fan base - since it's been obvious the last few seaons that votes come in based on popularity of the celebrity - not their progress:(. It' sad, but unfortunately true. I'd be currious to see Dimidova (or whatever her exact last name spelling is) the pro that won the pro-competition last season - jump into the stream of pro's and what she can do:).
My idea for a celebrity was actually already mentioned - Adam Lambert! I'd love to see Kirk Camron or Candace (his sister) do the show, even better though is to see Susan Boyle!!! She is so simple and humble - it would be very interesting to observe her. Plus, she can do some result shows for us;)!
My other wish would be to please exclude figure skating champions or figure skating dancing partners. If that's not possible - let's have Ekaterina Gordieva do it;)! Oh, and, in the spirit of last seasons celebrity choice, lets have the pilot guy from this past Bachlorette season do the show! I can't remeber his name now - b/c Kyptons name is in my head @ the moment.

I would like to see Alyssa Milano on DWTS; also I remember Tom Bergeron doing a one-time "special dance" on one of the first shows. He was very good and it would be nice to see him in a repeat performance.
