SYTYCD Season 6 Top Ten: Kathryn McCormick and Nathan Trasoras (video)

Kathryn McCormick and Nathan Trasoras performed a Broadway number and a rumba Tuesday night on "So You Think You Can Dance." The first was better received and the second was criticized for the choreography.

The Broadway number was danced to "Choreography" by Danny Kaye from the movie "White Christmas" and choreography by Spencer Liff. Nathan Lygoe felt they both found the right feeling and style perfectly. Lygoe didn't find their chemistry as good as he would have liked, but he found their style "absolutely terrific."

Mary Murphy found that McCormick was able to find the right style every single week. Murphy anticipated a little trouble for Trasoras, but was pleasantly surprised.

Adam Shankman was also worried about Trasoras, but was relieved to find that McCormick gave Trasoras a little maturity.

The second routine also had choreography problems.  Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin choreographed the rumba which was performed to "Walk on By" by Aretha Franklin.

Lythgoe felt that even though they had decided to call it a rumba, there wasn't enough dancing to it. The dancing and the lines were good, but Lythgoe felt the chemistry wasn't there--the storytelling aspect was problematic.

Murphy loved Trasoras' rumba back walk, but he found his shoulder was a bit awkward during the shadow position. There was a good moment with McCormick draping across Trasoras' body.

Shankman felt Trasoras was a "polarizing contestant" and that was both a good and bad thing.
