So You Think You Can Dance July 29 results: Bye Bye Billy and Jose

Billy Bell eliminated.
Billy Bell eliminated.
FOX.

The results weren't hard to guess from last night's "So You Think You Can Dance" and the bottom three were all injured: Lauren Froderman, Billy Bell and Jose Ruiz.

Ruiz had a winning smile, but he didn't have the technique and that would be hard to pick up with so little time and so many dances to do. He solos tended to all look the same, making it look like he didn't have much of a range as a b-boy either. Still, he had that boyish smile that was hard to resist. Ruiz reportedly had pulled a groin muscle this week.

Bell is another story. No matter how well he danced, how much praise he got from the judges, the audience didn't love Bell. Bell had danced his way out of the bottom three for four weeks, but on the fifth week in a row that he was in the bottom three, it was clear he had to go. Bell was dancing with a knee brace since injuring his knee last week when he refused to dance on it.

Why? You didn't think the show was going to eliminate the only woman left dancing? Froderman wasn't as good as Ashley Galvan who had to leave because of an injury that required a month off from dancing, but then again, none of the male dancers had the kind of charisma and technique that the injured Alex Wong had.

Froderman reportedly was suffering from dehydration and a concussion. If that's true, dancing with a concussion can't be good. Sure it's easier to recover from anything when you're young, but it is still not a good thing.

Just a reminder of what a concussion is. You don't need to actually hit your head to get a concussion. By strict definition a concussion is not necessarily a serious injury and involves rapid acceleration deceleration. In other words, sudden stops or changes in direction cause concussion. Usually rest and monitoring are suggested for three weeks unless, of course, you've got an old-school football coach or you're on a TV reality show.

The guest dancers were the cast from Jon M. Chu's "Step Up 3D." The film has some former SYTYCD contestant and is produced by STYCYD judge Adam Shankman.

jose did not take teaching too well, but he was very good street dancer, and he will get good work.
billy is one of those special creative types that will probably become a teacher and on broadway.
addecheke has way-less talent, BUT he has LOTS of phone-callers.
Billy should have phone-called for hisself...LOL

Mihaels is a gifted choreographer, but I find her an intolerable judgle. Sarcasm, threats(well I remember her negativie comments to the man who came second last year. And well, too, do I remember her saying, roughly, "And what would you do if you had to work with me?

My other comment? Ellen deGeneres? You want to encourage trivilization of your judges, this one was definite a winner.

the show is horrible this season. like AI, they require better judging. adam & mia have no personality and have nothing interesting to contribute (boring). the show needs to bring back mary and add paula to their line-up. nigel can stay...it is his show and every show needs an arrogant brit.

You need to get Mary back. Mia is terible and Adam not much better. Nigel is great but he can't do it himself hard as he trys. Get Mary back. She is missed.
