It wasn't flash dance, but Pink did get wet as she dangled above an audience of her peers dressed in the stylish to the weird and wacky as part of the 52nd Grammy Awards ceremony at the Los Angeles Staples Center Sunday evening. Was anyone warned about the splash zone? I hope not. Pink showed that impressive vocals and choreography be more interesting than a sci-fi motif and several costumes changes.

If anyone should star in a Las Vegas-style Cirque du Soleil performance, surely it would be Pink. I do wonder if she was actually singing all the way through, but let's give her the benefit of the doubt.

Pink had been nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Sober" and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Funhouse," but lost to Beyonce for "Halo" and the Black-Eyed Peas for "The E.N.D." respectively. Pink had previously won a Grammy in 2001 for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for "Lady Marmalade" with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya and in 2004 for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for "Trouble."

Beyonce became the first female record to take six awards in a single evening.

I think it's pretty sad that the Grammy's withhold Pink's performance. People should be able to view. It was a live broadcast so what is the issue
