Lucia Mauroinspired to study ballet after seeing the iconic Ballets Russes-inspired film, The Red Shoeshas been covering many multifaceted styles of dance in Chicago since 1988. In addition to writing for many local and national publications, she is the dance critic for Chicago Public Radio and the author of Careers for the Stagestruck & Other Dramatic Types .
