Once again, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has turned his back to some former team members who are deserving of a ring of honor recipient.
The most-well-deserved player is Ed "Too Tall" Jones, a ferocious defensive end for the Cowboys known for slapping down passes with his 6'7" frame. Jones loved the Cowboys and remains faithful to them to this day. He was a force on the field and helped the Cowboys win a Super Bowl.
The ring was created in 1975 inside of then-Texas Stadium to honor former players, coaches and club personnel who have made outstanding contributions to the organization. Bob Lilly was the first person honored. The last to be inducted were Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin in 2005.
Charlie Waters, a former Cowboys safety, also is left off from the circle. These are two former defensive players who made huge contributions to the Cowboys.

Tough call on the most deserving next ROH candidate, but I'd go for either Drew Pearson or Larry Allen.
I think Jerry Jones needs to get with the program! How selfish can you be not rewarding well deserving athletes. I am just happy Aikman and Smith both made it. Its crazy how these two were inducted together and both will be in the Bahamas this fall together to play poker and golf with the sports buddies (who are also sports legends). Jerry needs to induct Jones so he can join his teammates Aikman and Smith next year!
