After running full speed routes before Saturday's disaster against the Houston Texans, Wade Phillips mentioned that it was simply a matter of the medical staff clearing Cowboys first round pick Dez Bryant to play. And if Bryant's tweet on Twitter is any indication, the medical staff game him a thumbs up.

"Back in action Thursday night!!!!!" Bryant tweeted.

But may not be enough for the Cowboys first round draft choice to see action on Thursday. The Cowboys are debating playing their starters for a series or two after the group failed to show up for Saturday's game, and that might be the determining factor in playing Bryant. "It's a question of if it's worth some of the risk," Jerry Jones said. "If we end up playing our regulars, then that might make a difference."

Resting Bryant would give him an extra ten days to recover from the high ankle sprain he suffered at the beginning of training camp, but if he's going to be running full speed routes in practice, he should be good enough to go come game time. But while Jones hinted that it might be a decision based on whether the starters play, the injury bug that has already claimed four starters might have something to do with it as well. Luckily, most of those starters should be ready to suit up against the Redskins once the regular season begins.
