In order to get down to the league-mandated 75 players by 3pm tomorrow, the Cowboys released wide receiver Terrell Hudgins and tight end Scott Sicko. Both players were signed as free agents following the 2010 NFL draft. Sitting at 78 players, the club will need to release three more players before the deadline.
Tight end Scott Sicko made headlines after the draft when he refused offers by several teams, citing a lack of being drafted as a reason. After speaking with the Cowboys, Sicko changed his mind and performed well in the first preseason game, catching 5 passes for 44 yards.
Cowboys fans received good news earlier today when rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant tweeted he had been cleared to play in Thursday's game, though whether or not he takes the field remains a coaching decision.
