Lance Armstrong has taken his new "tansparency" to Australia, Italy, France and California, among other global locales. Now add Glasgow, Scotland, to the list.

Via his Twitter account, Armstrong invited cyclists to join him for a casual ride Tuesday. About 200 riders, including former two-time world titlist and former hour world record-holder Graeme Obree, showed up in the rain to pedal with the seven-time Tour de France winner.

The group brought traffic to a standstill as it progressed through the city's Paisley district.

"Hey Glasgow, Scotland!! I'm coming your way tomorrow," Armstrong posted in the first of several Twitter posts about the pending ride. "Who wants to go for a bike ride??

Armstrong is in Scotland to attend a U2 concert in Hampden Park. He'll also compete August 21-23 in the Tour of Ireland. Some cycling sites are reporting the event as Armstrong's last race of the season.
