Amgen Tour of California, 2010: Team rosters announced (part 2)

Cervelo Test Team and BMC, respectively from Switzerland and California, are among the nine Pro Continental and Continental squads whose rosters for the fifth annual Amgen Tour of California have been announced.

BMC and Cervelo will join seven ProTour teams whose rosters were also announced, in the fifth annual event, May 16-23.

As expected, the field of 16 teams from 23 countries will feature three-time consecutive race titlist Levi Leipheimer of Santa Rosa, California, teammate and seven-time Tour de France titlist Lance Armstrong, 2009 Tour de France runner-up Andy Schleck of Luxembourg, reigning world road road titlist Tom Boonen of Belgium and current Olympic titlist and three-time time trial world champion Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland.

The event will begin with a road stage from Nevada City to Sacramento and progress an estimated 800 miles to its conclusion in Thousand Oaks, California.

    The present world road champion is Cadel Evans, not Tom Boonen. Cadel is wearing the reigning world champion jersey in the Giro in Italy.
