Steve McNair. Former NFL quarterback shot dead.
There was another strange and tragic celebrity death today as former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head. A woman was also found shot dead at the Nashville, Tennessee site.
McNair was 36 and played 13 seasons before retiring in April 2008. A police spokesman said that the unidentified woman was not McNair's wife, Mechelle. He also said authorities were still investigating the shootings and that no suspects were in custody.
Police officers responded at the scene after receiving a call about injured persons inside the condo. When they arrived at the site, they found two individuals who had been shot to death inside the residence. The condominium is one that McNair was known to frequent, but a police spokeswoman said she didn't know if he was the owner.
In June, McNair opened a restaurant near the Tennessee State University campus. It was closed Saturday evening, but it had become a small memorial, with flowers, candles and notes placed outside the door.
On the restaurant's windows were messages: "We will miss you Steve" and "We love you Steve."
May Steve McNair and all who have recently passed on have a smooth transition to whatever is next for them. And may we all recognize that life is precious and can end at any moment.

you think the wife hired someone to kill him for cheating?
probably
R.I.P
life is indeed precious
R.I.P. ALL MY DEAD HOMIES(FAMILY) AND CELEBRITIES...SALAAM(pEACE)
the guy shouldn't have been getting some on the side, come on people, I know getting some nookie on the side is fun, but dude should have been home with his family. It doesn't matter how rich and famous you are, you just shouldn't do it. F*** steve mcnair, think about what his getting some strange just did to his wife and family. What a douchebag. I hope his wife gets with a man who treats her right and they go out and spend all the money that mcnair made on themselves. There is nothing worse than seeing another man get what you have worked so hard to get for yourself, but you know what, IF HE WASN'T OUT CHEATING ON HIS WIFE, SOME OTHER DUDE WOULDN'T BE LIVING THE LIFE HE SHOULD'VE. Now I am not a bible banger telling you to live life acording to jesus, just be a good person and honor the vows you make in life, maybe our country wouldn't be so f***** up and s*** like this wouldn't happen.
Wasnt just a couple days ago man, Golden arches, black navigator, lol. Going to miss you man. Its soo puzzling to me that 5 days ago, we were together, now ur dead... RIP man, meridian ms McDonalds what?
who are we to say what really happened. Do we really know he was cheating on his wife? The fact is he's dead and we should respect that and not call him names or speculate....
Who are we to speculate he was cheating, he's dead and can't defend himself...
S...'s crazy, I mean one minute you on top of the world next minute your laid out with a whole in your head! Don't want to point any fingers or talk ish about a man that's deceased. I think he should have been home with the family-POINT BLANK NO EXCEPTIONS! It's a shame that is kids and spouse and family are going to have to live with this for the rest of there lives! When his son get hook on drugs or disrespects women who's to blame DADDY wasn't around! DAMN STEVE!!! Rest In Peace!!!!
I am sad about the situation.I do not think that Michelle is getting the respect that she deserves. My heart goes out to her and the family.I also think that there was someone else involved.I don't think that the girlfriend killed Steve nor herself.I really don't understand why the roommate did not call Police when he realized they were dead.
R.I.P Steve McNair...I think that people should stop judging the situation and pray for the family...If you want to judge Steve like Micheal Jackson would say take a look at the man in the mirror...So look at yourself before judging anyone else.....WE LOVE YOU TO MICHELLE
Mess or message. Let the message be that men and women alike (because no one if perfect) will learn that life is but a moment in the wind...live your lives knowing and praying about the people you connect yourselves to. Live your life with heart, purpose and with Jesus as the center. My prayers go out the to family for their comfort and encouragement.
forget all who hate him
