Sarah Palin looking into her future and seeing trouble?
For weeks rumors of a criminal investigation against the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin have been brewing, and the announcement of her planned resignation have just added fuel to the fire. One theory for the resignation is that she needs money, and she can't accept $50,000 per appearance speaking fees or other lucrative offers while she is in office She would also probably not be able to accept the hundreds of thousands of dollars (or more) that she will be paid for "writing" a book that is scheduled to be released next spring.
Palin's brother, Chuck Heath, told Fox News that he thought her resignation was due to the negativity from the media. According to Heath, the governor was unable to be effective while she constantly had to defend herself against ethics complaints and the media.
This is clearly a political drama yet to explode. Somewhere is a scandal waiting to be uncovered. So much for Palin's righteous Christian integrity and belief in public service.
May we all come to recognize the problems with a governmental system based on capitalism and top down power, and may we soon experience the peace and justice of true global democracy.

May I just say, Sir, that your column is absolute rubbish and shouldn't have been written at all. All we know is (1) she will not stand for re-election and (2) she is resigning in July. Any reason why is best known to her, so kindly quit the useless speculations.
What a nutter....go quietly into that dark night Sarah. Go away hot mess. Listening to her speak is like being at Chuckie Cheese at full capacity strapped to a chair for 24 hours. I am actually really sorry for the Republicans and I mean that. Is their self esteem so low after believing in and defending Bush for 8 years that they honestly believed that was the best they could do. I'm glad she has finally been outed like the fraud she is but I cannot help but feel pity for all of her lost little sheep.
i have no other way to say this other than to sound like a 13 year old but your an idiot. everything you said doesnt make sense...get some facts first
Also....this latest info has been available since the campaign. Had people been reading instead of ogling fair Sarah's winks and well turned calves this wouldn't be news.
jana. she isnt a fraud i assume you voted for obama?
ha the biggest fraud ever on america is him read up on acorn... he is a liar and is going to make our economy worse and worse... you will see eventually obama will run out of cash to artificially inflate the economy
palin would have been a much better pres. then obama
"im right," You probably cannot think of another way to say it because you are, in fact, a 13 year old. Jana is absolutely right. The republican party has devolved from intelligent debate (albeit bad for America) into defenders of the ultra-wealthy and big oil, pharma, tobacco, etc., etc, at the expense of America.
We live in a great country, called, "THE USA", and yet take so much for granted. There is so many tragedies going on around us but yet we have to continue to hear, see, and read negative comments about our fellow American Citizens. We as people need to find the positives and lift those words up. I am a Republican, and voted for the McCain/Palin ticket. Does that give me the Right to find every negative fault of President Obama, in whom I respect and admire. No! We need to unite and find positives and feed on those. Maybe positivity and cooperative teaming could put America on the map for being unified. Let's be different and teach our younger generation the way to find the best in each other even though, we know only God, our Father, is perfect. Criticism in harmful. Leave it be.
Who in the world wrote this article? It sounds like it came from some terrorist org. There is
not a politician, be they Republican or Democrat, that does not have skeletons somewhere. Our younger generation just seems
to be more forgiving of Democratic flounders than they are of Republican? IE: Suspicious
deaths and rapes from the Kennedy side; and
the Clinton's suspicious activities regarding
the Foster case; and the fact that Obama comes
from the most corrupt political district in the
nation.
As I said, we(independent) just want to write about negativity. Yes, we all have skeletons, as I'm sure you do independent, but why focus on them. We are all capable of making a positive impact in some way. Focus on the good. Point out good things the Clintons did not the bad. We know some of them because some just rather focus on the negative. Try being positive and see how that makes you feel and others.
you are a freaking idiot
re: "may we soon experience the peace and justice of true global democracy."
Oh, Yeah. This is just what we need. Holy Crap!
