Sarah Palin thoughtful about her future and seeing trouble?
Long before she made the announcement that she will resign as Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin was plagued by scandals. For months rumors of a criminal investigation against the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin have been brewing, and the announcement of her planned resignation have just added fuel to the fire.
One theory for the resignation is that she needs money, and she can't accept $50,000 per appearance speaking fees or other lucrative offers while she is in office She would also probably not be able to accept the hundreds of thousands of dollars (or more) that she will be paid for "writing" a book that is scheduled to be released next spring.
Another theory is that she will soon be indicted by the feds for embezzlement. She may be facing a federal indictment for embezzlement, according to Huffington Post blogger Shannyn Moore.
Moore is reporting that the so-called "iceberg scandal" involves the use of Wasilla Sports Complex building materials for Palin's residence during her tenure as mayor. According to Moore, "Both structures, it is said, feature the same windows, same wood, and same products."
Palin's brother, Chuck Heath, told Fox News that he thought her resignation was due to the negativity from the media. According to Heath, the governor was unable to be effective while she constantly had to defend herself against ethics complaints and the media.
This is clearly a political drama yet to explode. Somewhere is a scandal waiting to be uncovered. So much for Palin's righteous Christian integrity and belief in public service.
May we all come to recognize the problems with a governmental system based on capitalism and top down power, and may we soon experience the peace and justice of true global democracy.

how silly you don't know that! you are judging her. with no facts just inuendo. you are sick
Repeating the drivel spouted at the Huffington Post is NOT journalism nor can it be properly called analysis. However, it is entirely possible that Governor Palin has been driven out of office by those who participate at the Huffington Post. Lying and the suppression of speech is what they specialize in and a half-million dollars in legal fees is a significant sum for anyone who is obliged to hold down three jobs to make ends meet.
Anyone who thinks this hatchet job on Sarah Palin is journalistic excellence is someone who also spends far too much of their time daydreaming. If this story were true, it would be your sweetest dream come true. Your worse nightmare would be to see this brilliant woman as your next President. She, all by herself, is rewriting the manual on how to best represent the people who continue to contribute to the greatest of America.
"This is clearly a political drama yet to explode. Somewhere is a scandal waiting to be uncovered. So much for Palin's righteous Christian integrity and belief in public service."
CLEARLY? So far, you have baseless accusations, that you suck up like a sponge... there is nothing here . .
"May we all come to recognize the problems with a governmental system based on capitalism and top down power, and may we soon experience the peace and justice of true global democracy."
If you bothered to educate yourself, you would realize that Capitalism is about bottom up power. It's about freedom to own property... and is the foundation of our republic.. (thank God, our forefathers gave us that... and not a democracy).
Hey , Jim vaughn ... this "brilliant" woman can not answer the easiest questions about our country and cannot name one supreme court case except for Roe v. Wade. Absolutely retarded how people just like Gov. Palin because she is a decent looking woman. She is very far from brilliant. I suspect Jim that you are an idiot with a hard D*^k. that is the only reason McCain picked her.
This is history repeating itself all over again.
Just as Nixon lost his presidential bid and governor bid, and came back triumphantly in 1968, Sarah Palin will be able to do the same in 2012. The reason Nixon was able to do it was because he was very much loved by conservatives and his party, and he, during difficult times, his leadership prevailed and he was able to become President, despite the "so-called expert" naysayers who despised him saying he was finished.
More troubling times are just ahead, because Obama smothered our country's natural ecomomic rebound with his badly misplayed stimulus package. In troubled times, a country yearns for a true leader.
No one can deny the leadership abilities of Palin leading her state to prosperity and a surplus, which is rare for any state today. Palin will be president in 2012.
Don't know if Palin's a criminal, or not. Don't care. At some point the few people in this country who are delusional enough to back Sarah Palin may want to wonder whether this much negativity is REALLY just fear of Palin's brilliance. She has worst press than anybody---Bush, Cheney, anybody. You really think that's because she's so much more of a threat? Like, McCain was within several percentage points of winning, by himself, but ended up losing even after picking up Sarah Palin who is such an enormous threat to the liberal establishment they'll stop at nothing to destroy her? Do you care about logic?
Go ahead and compare her to Nixon, one of the worst people to ever be president of the United States, who recently had new tapes released suggesting, for example, that abortion should be legal "in the case of a black and a white". A real hero, huh?
she is clearly in a position that is over her head.... and she seems to be swimming into even deeper water. I hope she doesn't cramp up, or lose sight of land... because I would hate to see anyone fail so competely.... not because I agree with her or even admire her....
Oh just get off the scene, Sarah. Republicans will only stand a chance if we all get on the Constitutional band wagon with Ron Paul and the "Campaign For Liberty" crowd.
The FBI has already said this is nonsense. Why is the Examiner spreading lies? The FBI has said what you are writing is 100% false. Why are you lieing about Sarah Palin? Of course you will not respond since you are a coward, as only a coward would write such a piece to begin with.
What I can't seem to understand is how so many Republicans actually think this Gov. of Alaska is a legitimate presidential candidate. She is why McCain lost the election and this is why the Republican Party is failing. Sarah Palin is a joke of a politician!
Got something to say?
