The Hollywood gossip is that Sandra Bullock and Jesse James have split up because he was caught having an affair with porn star Michelle “Bombshell” McGee. Yes, Bullock and James are married, but does anyone still believe that we are supposed to stay with one person for our entire life.
That was a great concept a century ago when the average lifespan was less than fifty years. People got married in their late teens, had a pack of kids to help them work the land or make ends meet at work.
By the time all the kids were grown and out of the house, the couple was about ready for the grave. Now, the average lifespan is 70 to 80, and people are constantly changing. Most people who remain married for their entire life now are generally settling for whatever happens. They are afraid of change, so they stay put.
Bullock and James are no exception. Neither are Tiger and Elin or any of the other couples who have divorced, famous or average. They’re just people who are changing, and guys who tend to attract women and can’t resist the attention.
May we all find peace with who we are and not continue attempting to fit into some form from the past – even when the past is only last week.

yes, yes, yes. when are we going to grow up and realize that everything (including our relationships) is constantly changing?
Yes monogamy is real even in 2010,"we are not apes!" I was once married to a dog, I like to call dollar Bill who loved to cheat and I was faithful for 15 years until I wised up, and ditched him, I was tired of crying over a loser.
I am now happily re married to my Diamond Jim (My best friend)
a man who loves me and only wants me. Real and true monogamy is very very sexy! We have been married for almost 10 years.
No No No, cheaters will be cheaters in everything. Show me a man that cheats on his wife and he cheats in others things, same goes for women. Honestly and loyalty are very hard to find. I bet Sandra hasn't cheated on her husband. I know couples who have been married over 30 40 and 50 years. They are loyal, honest human beings who worked hard and dedicated their lives to their spouse and family. I am one of those and I am not 80 years old.
