Obama takes a Presidential smoke break.
Our popular President Barack Obama continues to smoke off camera, and the media seems to allow him this secret vice just as they allowed John Kennedy to sneak women into the White House. He's perceived as so perfect, that it's even difficult to find a picture of him smoking. A few weeks ago he signed the Smoking Prevention Act, but he's still puffing away. Isn't it time he walk the talk or is this a don't ask, don't tell issue?
The new law empowers the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to oversee and regulate all tobacco products that are sold in the United States. The legislation encompasses several areas and focuses specifically on the way tobacco products are developed, purchased, marketed or advertised, and labeled. The act is unprecedented and the U.S. government has never had so great a hand in the oversight of the tobacco industry as it will now.
So, now big tobacco corporations will continue expanding their international marketing strategies. They are more regulated in the USA, especially in their marketing to young people, so they'll continue to sell their poison abroad. Another of the fine US exports along with our largest export, military weaponry. Isn't it time we start to focus our massive spending and exporting on livingry – things that support life rather than deter life?
Personally, I want us all to chose life over killing to chose health over illness and to chose an end to all cigarette production and smoking. I realize that it is unlikely that any of these will occur. Still, if we all (including Barack) do our part, we can change the world.
May we all recognize the true nature of our actions. And may all people experience health, happiness and abundance.

The photo is a such an obvious fake. You guys are nothing but cheap liars with no integrity and no story. Nothing but empty words
I don't think the photo was meant to look very real...
That said, I think everyone should be free to smoke cigarettes at their own discretion. As an ex-smoker myself, I think it's, of course, a deadly addiction, but one (like alcohol, driving motorcycles or rock climbing) is a choice we all can make for ourselves.
It is so wrong to insert a gag video joke on a serious news piece. Serious journalism should not be mixed with video jokes, it's unprofessional and subliminal advertising or negative campaigning with outmost cynicism. People need to know that this is a cheap practice to insert a video with a something that is obviously meant to mock Obama. I am not opposed to someone making a joke, I am opposed to a journalist, publishing a news that supposed to be serious and then inserting a subliminal message joke. It's like watching a documentary that suddenly mocks one of the subjects of the documentary, with a cheap gag video like this.
Obama promised to not raise taxes of any kind on individuals who make less than $200k, but he raised cigarette taxes by 62 cents a pack. There are 43 million smokers in the US and the vast majority of them make less than $200k. FACT: Obama lied.
I don't like smokers. They smell. They litter. Secondhand smokes kills. Those who smoke in public should be sent to prison.
Perhaps he was covering his ass in that photo.
