Obama kills fly, Obama kills Iranians: Do we need to stop and think before acting? (video)

Barack Obama, Commander in chief, kills fly, military
Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful, destructive
military force in the history of humankind.  Obama needs
to stop and think before acting.

PETA is not on Obama's case about him killing the fly without thinking. They agree that he is not a Buddha. He is not interested in alleviating the suffering of all beings.

Nearly everyone has killed an annoying insect quickly without thinking as Obama did while recording an interview the other day. However, when killing people and invading other countries, some serious thought is required.

Obama is just like the previous US Presidents. He has enormous power. Without asking our approval (or that of Congress) George W. and his father both put us into instant wars "we the people" did not support, and Obama could stop our needless killing and causing of great suffering just as quickly.

But he hasn't done that. He's behaving just like he did with the fly, acting without considering the consequences of his actions. He's only human, but he has chosen to take on a position of great power.

So now is the time for him to act with great insight and compassion. With the stroke of a pen, he could stop the needless suffering and killing. He could give us what "we the people want," to no longer be a warmongering, invasive country that causes great suffering to others. "We the people" do not want to accumulate that type of karma.

May we all think long and hard before we take actions that may harm others, and may we soon recognize the abundance available to us all.

I think the author is part of a growing cancer we have in this country. It's disturbing to see how some who call themselves Americans conviently forget the September 11th attacks. Now is time for these members of our nation to grow a pair instead of having "compasion" for those who are trying to destroy this great nation that our loved ones have fought to protect for so long.

I agree with American. I think you are just plain crazy. I don't think we are "war mongers."
Maybe you should go live in NOrth Korea or Iraq or Iran for awhile. And as for killing flies, I kill them in my house too. Some people just look for stuff to complain about.

I really think some people need to think about 9-11 and whether they want the bombs in their back yard or not. Freedom does not just exist -it is fought for and maintained. Good thing no one watches me with a fly swatter in my house, They would have me locked up..

@America the Free, Amazed, and American:

I think all 3 of you are absolute fools if you think that 9/11 gives any justification to the wars we've entered into. Go ask a country with REAL terrorist threats and attacks how many countries THEY'VE invaded. But that's fine. All three of you are part of an extremely delusional minority in this country..

Pulling out of the current military operations would put most areas into a massive power vacuum and cause multiple issues. You might not like it but as soon as America entered the area they took power and now the best thing to do is stay and do everything to fix the area. Leaving it open in a war-torn region would be both a bad idea and really negligent on Obama's part, he needs to fix the problem not just exit because it would make people feel better in the US.

You are the one who is not thinking. Its not as simple as you put it.You just don't end a war like that, its a process.

The whole reason we went to war was to stop the "needless killing and cause of great suffering". You idiots forget 9/11 and the genocide Saddam put the Iranian people through. "We the PEOPLE" gave Obama his so called POWER just like we did G.Bush. Your liberal democratic B.S. will destroy this country. The reason other contries haven't attacked us is because of fear of our retaliation. If there is no fear of that than what will stop another 9/11 or msybe worse?

This is the most ignorant article I have ever read.
How about having some sympathy for the people who are over there instead of dumbly bitching about how war can't end in an instant.
People are protecting you and all you have is some ridiculously stupid analogy.

    get a reality check.

This article is so utterly ridiculous it’s nearly impossible to decide where to begin picking it apart. Let’s start with my favorite subject, perpetuating the image of our former president as an uneducated villain. Let’s hypothetically say, and I don’t believe this in the least, President George W. Bush somehow rose to the most powerful leadership position in the free world with a substandard intelligence level. If this is the case, it should be no problem for ultra intelligent, enlightened, know-it-all walking answers to the world’s problems like you to do the same, Mr. Sieden. Where are you when the world needs your brilliance?
The article also states the war against terrorism was started “Without asking our approval.” I voted in the last election, did you? I’m just a poor dumb member of the most “destructive military force in the history,” stuck in Iraq because I didn’t apply myself in college, but I thought my vote gave the candidate of my choice the power to make decisions on my

Anyone who thinks he knows how things really are is deluded. Trapped in his own mind. This applies to the writer and all comments I read before, and most probably also to me, who thinks that in a few years all problems will be solved, because then insects will be the only survivors on this planet.

He's doing the best he can, and it's time we give him some space and time. He's already starting to look older and more tired. Not a job I'd want.
