Michael Jackson took 10 plus Xanax per night.
Michael Jackson would take at least ten Xanax pills each night in order to sleep. It's surprising that those drugs didn't kill him. I sometimes take one-half of a Xanax when flying, and it usually knocks me right out. Ten would probably keep me asleep for a day or two if the drug didn't kill me.
The amount of Xanax that Jackson alleged took surprised CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta who said,
"In addiction cases, people develop a tolerance to drugs and have to take more and more pills. No matter how you cut it, this is an extremely high dosage of Xanax. It is a huge red flag, even with the tolerance that I was talking about. This dosage is exceedingly high for any human being."
Duh. I can't imagine how Jackson could function the next day after taking such a high dosage of Xanax. At least he's now resting in peace.
May Jackson's death help us all to recognize the problem of prescription drug addiction. And may all who suffer from this or any addiction find the strength and support to free themselves and live lives that mirror their true Self.

Well, 10 xanax seems like a lot but would depend on the mg. It comes in .25, .5, 1, and 2 mg - 10 mg is top dose - so 10 pills might not be as much as it sounds. As to whether he actually took that much or not depends on the tox results. Seems to me that current reports are high on speculation, especially from unnamed sources, and low on facts. I'll reserve judgment until the final autopsy reports are in.
You people make me so upset ! you don't know what Michael did and didnot do and he is not here to defend his honor for himself and his kids. Michael was a good man. He knew that Music is the universal language and love is the key.
he truely did change the world. From 1993 to 2009 his gifts to us was almost silenced with lies and abuse. he did the best he could and

The combination of xanax, or any benzodiazapan, with opiate based painkillers often results in death. Blaming any single drug is pointless really. Also I couldn't agree more with Carol. Saying 10 pills or 40 pills is pretty meaningless with xanax which comes in vastly varying strengths.
Sorry but the author doesn't know what he is talking about. There is no overdose from xanax, the more you take the more you sleep. It is impossible to be killed by 10 pills (of unknown mg each)
