DJ AM, Adam Goldstein found dead
in New York at 36. Dated Nicole Richie &

"DJ AM", Adam Goldstein was found dead, and it was instantly tweeted around the world. Celebrities shared their feelings. Only a year ago DJ AM was one of two people who survived a private plane crash in South Carolina. DJ AM was 36.
Some of the celebrities who were on Twitter expressing their feelings about this untimely passing included:
Shanna Moakler (Ex-wife of Travis Barker): "My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends."
John Mayer: "We're supposed to lose our friends to time, at an age when we're ready to agree to the terms of having lived a long life. Not now."
Paris Hilton: "R.I.P. AM, I love you and you are already missed so much. My heart and prayers go out to his family and close friends. God bless. :("
Lindsay Lohan: "i can't believe this.. i'm in shock. why? why? r.i.p. adam"
Samantha Ronson: "Waiting for someone to say this isn't true."
Ryan Seacrest: "So sad to hear about Adam. a very kind and generous guy RT"
Kim Kardashian: "DJ AM was such a genuine person! He is in a better place, may God rest his soul..."
DJ AM's publicist, Jenni Weinman, issued this statement,
"The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time."
Adam Goldstein was found unconscious in his New York apartment. He had often expressed feeling guilty about being a survivor of the plane crash. In a post on his website he wrote,
"Daily I live with the guilt and grief of what happened that night, what I saw, who was lost and why I was spared. I have no words to express the pain that comes with knowing four people died, while I lived."
In addition to making music, DJ AM was known for dating Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore.
