I guess that I'm a bit biased when it comes to Thai food restaurants, but I just can't help it. My father-in-law found this restaurant many years ago and it's been a family favorite ever since. When my wife and I were married, we had our wedding reception at Thai Nana and go back on a regular basis. Recently, we celebrated our son's 12th birthday at Thai Nana and it couldn't have been better.
Thai Nana is a family-run restuarant located on Alternate 19 in Palm Harbor. The restaurant was previously located in a strip shopping center in Crystal Beach, but was forced to move when the owner decided to raze the property and build a new shopping mall. With much of the same decoration in place, the new location has the same charm and feel of the original restaurant.
The food is always fresh and well-prepared, with daily specials that offer something different for those of us who have been through the regular menu several times. Some of my avorite items would have to be the Crispy Duck with Panang Sauce and the Thai salad with peanut dressing. My son loves all of the soup choices, as well as the Chicken Satay and spring rolls, which he has to fight with his sister to share. During his birthday visit, the kitchen sent out an order of his favorite dessert; Fried Bananas with a candle.
In over 15 years of enjoying Thai Nana, I can say that I've never had a dissapointing meal and would highly reccommend it to anyone.
