The 3600 passenger Carnival Dream made Florida's Port Canaveral home this morning, docking for the first time at 6am.
Continuing the upgrade of hardware within driving distance of Central Florida and serviced by 4 regional and international airports, the Carnival Dream will be based year-round at the popular cruise port doing 7 -day Caribbean sailings.
The Dream is the second of a new generation of new cruise ships in Florida, following last year's addition of Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas sister ship to Liberty of the Seas, also 3600 passengers and also sailing year round from Port Canaveral.
Coming up in 2011 will be Disney Cruise Line's new Disney Dream followed by the Disney Fantasy in 2012.
