Carnival, the world’s largest cruise line, today announced the name of the 24th ship in its fleet.
Carnival Breeze will debut in the spring of 2012. The ship will be constructed by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, which is also building Carnival Magic – debuting in Europe May 1, 2011.
This will be the third ship in the Dream-class – the first being Carnival Dream, currently operating seven-day cruises out of Port Canaveral in Florida.
These 3,690-passenger ships are the biggest in the fleet at 130,000 tons, and include large facilities for children, a WaterWorks aqua Park with a 300-foot water slide and an array of staterooms never before seen on a Carnival ship.
