Debra Lafave pleaded guilty to charges she had sex with her 14 year old student

Debra Lafave pleaded guilty to having sex with her 14 year old student. She is a registered sex offender in the state of Florida. Today she is off house arrest and yet will remain on probation until 2015. Many feel that due to Debra Lafave’s beauty, she was spared a harsh sentence. Her defense attorney claimed that Debra Lafave (who now goes by Debra Beasley) was suffering from trauma due to being raped at the age of 13 as well as bi polar disorder. Debra Lafave met the victim while teaching at Greco Middle School in Temple Terrace, Florida.
