Polk County principal, John Stelmack, received a sentence of 5 years and 10 years sex offender probation in a case involving virtual child pornography. Virtual child pornography, or cut and paste child porn, involves taking nude images of adults and morphing them with the faces of children, or vice versa. Virtual child pornography has been the subject of controversy and debate, since it can be argued by perpetrators that no children are hurt by the morphed images.
In the case of John Stelmack, the images were found in a briefcase located in the closet of his office where he worked as principal of Scott Lake Elementary school in Lakeland, Florida. The images contained the photos of four girls that were superimposed over the bodies of women. At least one of the images depicted a nude woman, and several of the images were of students at schools where Stelmack had worked.
Stelmack’s defense attorney, Robert Gray, filed a notice of appeal and requested bail. Bail was denied. Throughout the trial, Robert Gray held the position that the images were not child pornography. The jury didn’t agree. The sentencing follows another similar case, that of Danny Parker. Parker says that he came up with the idea for virtual child porn after reading about the Stelmack case.

I never did understand people with these kind of sexual tendencies. But I don't think that it's something they chose, and that is why we shouldn't incarcerate them when virtual reality is involved. Shouldn't that be some sort of a safe ventilation for these people?
it seems like "protecting" the children is now the latest version of the witch hunts. no surprise America has the world's highest jail population
@ Evan: It may not be something they choose to feel, but they know it's a crime, and they are obviously sick. Some people even try to justify pedophilia as a "sexual orientation", like homosexuals and such. The only problem with that is, Homosexuals CHOOSE to have sex with one another. The children who are abused DO NOT choose it and suffer greatly for it. In no way should these feelings or acts be justified, whether done virtually or not.
