The charges are in for Richard McTear Jr. and he is facing murder in the first degree. There was some question as to whether he would be charged with second degree murder due to the fact that it was a domestic abuse situation. The medical examiner has determined that Emanuel Murray died as a result of being thrown out of the vehicle and on to I-275. Due to this determination, Richard McTear Jr. will most likely face the death penalty. McTear was transferred from Falkenburg Road jail and is now in Orient Road Jail without bond. Here are his charges:

According to a press release issued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office, Richard McTear Jr. was apprehended at approximately 9:30 A.M. when Tampa police received a tip that McTear was in the Robles Park vicinity. Tampa police approached a home on Stratford Avenue, when McTear bolted out the door and a chase followed. Several Tampa police officers continued to pursue Richard McTear Jr on foot when they discovered him hiding at 3803 Arlington Avenue in Tampa, Florida.

hiding in Jasmine Bedwell’s home. When she entered and closed the door behind her, McTear physically attacked her, beating her and choking her. Jasmine Bedwell had visible signs of choke marks and abrasions on her neck. In addition to being choked, McTear bit Jasmine on her right bicep and shoulder. She had other visible signs of assault with marks on her body. Bedwell stated to detectives that McTear verbally threatened her, saying, “I’m gonna kill the both of ya’ll.” There is no doubt that his threats were in reference to herself and her three month old son, Emanuel Murray. At this point, Richard McTear grabbed the baby’s car seat carrier and threw it across the apartment twice. The impact of the baby being thrown across the apartment caused baby
Emanuel to fall out of his seat.
At this point, Jasmine Bedwell sought help by running out of the apartment, Richard McTear took baby Emanuel and fled the scene, heading south on Interstate 275, where he threw baby Emanuel out of the car window and on to the Interstate. After an examination performed by the medical examiners office, the cause of death has been listed as blunt impact with skull fractures and brain lacerations; homicide.

He throws a baby from a car at highway speeds. And when they put this violent predator down, we'll hear from the usual suspects about how inhuman WE are and how horrible it is that he might feel a brief pain. And of course that it's our fault in the first place for producing him. When he's removed from the gene pool, we'll have taken a small step to correct the last complaint.
With first degree murder he is definitely eligible for the death penalty.

I think jail is too good for him - why do we have to use tax payer’s money for a man that does not care about life. He is a coward – he has to answer to a higher power and "It's a dirty game.” Is not going to be a good answer.
Women, our courage and safety for our children needs to be higher than the fear of a coward like this man. I can not image what his family is feeling at this time? Two families hurt by one man…and a beutiful angel in the arms of his Heavenly Father.
I consider myself a generally sane and moderate person, but my gut reaction would be to beat this man to death with my own hands. How can police restrain themselves against someone like this? I would have shove my can of pepper spray down his throat and made him drown on the spray.
I can't help thinking about Jasmine Bedwell, Baby Emanuel's 17 year old mother. They said that she and the baby were inseparable. Surely she will have PTSD from this ordeal. Only 17 year's old. When they put McTear in the cruiser, he turned to the cameras and said, "Tell my girl, Jasmine that I love her."
I'm at a loss for words. The Death Penalty is too good for the creep. And to JC, what the hell does any of this have to do with Obama, you RACIST @#!$hole!
As to racist theories and conspiracies, they usually work the other way, especially in Florida. We don't see a lot of black criminals getting released due to any form of racism, in fact there are instances of more prison abuse and unusually longer sentences, etc.

This is so sad. I am so tired of our young black men acting like this. I can't help but hope that this man gets what's coming to him. Death is too easy. If this man gets beat and raped the entire time he is waiting to be put to death, it will still be too good for him. This has absolutely nothing to do with race. This man is nothing more than a controling SOB that refused deal with his hurt feelings that Jasmine didn't want him anymore. These bad a** kids are making the decisions to do wrong and then their ignorant a** parents want to still try to protect them. Look at that Aime Micheal case here in Atlanta. She caused the death of five people and her mother and grandmother helped her hide it for 2 weeks. And one of them was an elemtary school principle. They were trying to protect her instead of advising her to do the right thing. Take responsibility. I hope that mother gets every bit of those eight years she's facing for being such a poor example for her daughter. Ignorant ass people.

As to the reasoning behind Richard McTear, they've said that he was extremely jea
lous. He had also threatened another girlfriend and her baby, but returned the baby before setting fire to the woman's car.
My guess is that it's classic abuser syndrome. Also, he was most likely jealous of the babies since his girlfriend's spent their time devoting attention and love on the babies and not him. Factor in that the babies were from other men- and your classic abuser and domestic violent offender has all the ingredients needed to commit murder.
There is no excuse for what he did, but when it comes down to domestic violence and abuse, many men take their rage out on their partner's children- especially if the child isn't theirs.
Domestic violence is such a horrible thing- and so many men (and women) never get help; be it the abuser or the victim.
The death penalty is an easy way out for this guy. He should be a small room with pictures of the child he killed plastered all over the walls. That should be his home for the rest of his life without any other sensory distraction - no phone, internet, tv, books, nothing, just pictures and his own mind. Before long, he will lose his mind and die alone.

Your comment reminds me of Scott Peterson, who murdered his pregnant wife Laci and their unborn baby Connor. It was recently revealed that the only picture he has in his cell is of Laci. But then, he has a website- and he is on death row.
Makes you even question how much justice is there for victims when someone remains on death row for years.

This person is a MENACE to our sociality and I’m pretty sure his father walked away from his as a child then his mother probably had given him away like a “DOG” for his grandmother to raise while she went on with her life. No doubt about it…he is an ANIMAL and should not be able to live in main stream sociality. On different note: the child’s mother should also be held accountable for her son’s death because after he abused her she allowed him to have access to her home and her child. The sad part of all this is, this child paid the price with his innocent life because of his mother and the mother’s boyfriend foolish mistakes! I hope the boyfriend gets the death penalty and hopefully the mother will learn from the choices they’ve both made.
Where are the parents of this 17-yr old mother (a minor)? Why wasn't the baby safe in bed at 3 a.m. when this monster got his hands on the child? Where did she have that baby in the middle of the night? She should be sterilized so she cannot breed again. Really all involved should be ashamed for what happened to this innocent baby. Are there no adults who had any sense? The mother's violent arrest record is nearly as bad as her "boyfriend's" record. The baby's father is another loser, currently in prison. God help that poor dead baby, rest in peace, he's probably better off than growing up around that violent scum (and this includes "mama"). Sorry honey, it's your fault, too.
Forget court...lets cuff him, then sit him in the back of a Police van. Jump onto the highway...hit about 80 mhp, open then back doors and give him a lil push. Im sure we can find many drivers who would be willing to follow the van. Whoever runs him over first....WINNER!!
This is not a Black or White issue. It's an issue of an insanely jealous person. He knows right from wrong. This nut should get death by firing squad. I am so sick of American laws being so soft on child killers. If this nut was in Laos or most other countries he would be dead already and it would be one less child killer on the street or sitting in jail and the taxes that come out of my check would go to something useful like helping children. Of course he was crazy,my thing is I'd watch my mom being beat when I was young,I had some ex's that use to hit on me,that last fool ,ended up wearing stitches from the neck down,my daughter had a gun put to her head 3 times in front of her 2 sons and their infant sister ,my daughter was scared to death,also ,he kept breaking in her apt.stealing her car,even stole her credit card and give it to another female to use it.
Honey enough is enough,I call DCF,and a worker came out and told her to choose her children or him,she of course chose the kids,about 2 months ago ,his wife walked up in her yard behind my grandson and told him to "go get you momma",she looked out of the door and went a gotten her register gun,they were surprise when there car window was blown out,lmao,my daughter now walk around like MADEA,My thing is when I used to have to fight off these fools,hey we may love then,and believe that they love us ,butif they hit us they will start hitting the kids,See yrs later I accepted God as my personal savoir and he always have my back,I'm 45 now,and I had a hard life,but now I know to run names of people I meet,and check out their background history also I have a toy box(not what you're thinking)that I keep in arms reach ,in case of emergency,I trust no one but God,now.

I feel sorry for him. You all can be consumed by hate and say what you want about him, but people who get to the point in life where they can't rationalize their decisions is upsetting. I'm not justifying what he did, his crime is very henious, but saying you would like to throw him out of a car is being somewhat hypocritical toward this young man, and in my opinion you are no better than him.
i just see it as "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth". If you don't think thats the way it shouldn't be for this "poor" young man you which feel sorry for, then perhaps you should follow his ass out the moving car..
This young baby should've been in state custody, no where near the mother either....
