Casey Anthony pleads guilty to check fraud, apologizes and breaks down (full videos, photos)
The following video is the complete court hearing held on January 25, 2010 in the Casey Anthony check fraud case. Casey Anthony’s daughter Caylee was the subject of a Florida missing person’s search that spread across the state and impacted the nation. Six months after Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony, reported the 2-year-old missing, her skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthony’s Orlando, Florida home. Casey Anthony was in court for 13 charges of check fraud, she pleaded guilty to six counts and adjudication was held on the remaining seven charges. Casey was sentenced to 412 days time served. Should Casey be free from murder charges, she would be under one year of supervised probation.

Tampa, Florida Assistant State Attorney Pam Bondi has shed much light on the Casey Anthony case. She has been interviewed by Nancy Grace, Jane Velez Mitchell , and Greta Van Susteren; Pam Bondi was also featured in the CBS 48 Hours Mystery: The Untold Story of Caylee Anthony you can view that video here: CBS 48 Hours Mystery: The Untold Story of Caylee Anthony Full Video
In yesterday’s court hearing, the public heard a vocal Casey Anthony, one that was in stark contrast from the jailhouse video tapes that aired repeatedly on the Nancy Grace show. No longer is Casey appearing before the public in a defiant and angry manner. Here blank stares have been replaced with tears and now, for the first time, Casey Anthony has made a public apology.
“I just want to let everyone know that I’m sorry for what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.”
As for the first-degree murder charges that Casey faces, she contends her innocence. The murder trial was scheduled to begin in June 2010, but due to a change of venue motion it is possible that the trial may be delayed as long as five years.
Casey Anthony faces the death penalty if convicted; her family maintains their public support and continues to state that she is innocent of murdering Caylee.
