Jessica Pachucki, of Wilkes-Barre has been scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday on charges of beating a cat with a rake. She was charged with two counts of cruelty to animals by the Luzerne County SPCA.

According to the criminal complaint:

Robert Kennedy, of Logan Street, reported that a woman on North Meade Street beat his 13-year old cat with a metal rake on July 30.

Kennedy took his cat to a veterinarian and learned the feline suffered a fractured leg that required amputation and puncture wounds, the criminal complaint says.

The woman called the SPCA after beating the cat and told them what she did. Pachucki claimed she was keeping the cat away from her pit bull.

According to a witness, the pit bull was about 30-40 feet away, tied to a dog house when Pachuchi was beating the cat with a rake.

Sick, sick, sick. The woman should be jailed and/or institutionalized. There's no reason for abusing animals.
