San Diego authorities have identified a man who was shot in the groin and died following a fight at a North Park adult entertainment business.
Micheal Deshorn Mallory, 42, of San Diego, was shot March 14 at the Ten’s Show Club on Fifth Avenue. San Diego police found him lying in a parking lot near the club shortly after being told of a disturbance. He was suffering from multiple gunshot sounds in the groin, police said.
The medical examiner's office concluded Mallory died of a gunshot wound that penetrated his femoral artery.
Shortly before a fight broke out, an employee of the business told police he asked four men to leave for being disruptive, Homicide Lt. Kevin Rooney said.
That's when two men pulled handguns and began firing. The suspects fled after the shooting.
Police arrested one man in the 3100 block of Meade Avenue on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly struck another patron with a beer glass before the shooting began.
Police are still investigating the homicide.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293 or San Diego CrimeStoppers at (888) 580-8477.
