On Friday, Loudoun County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Horne sentenced illegal alien Arnold J. Mancia-Morales, 25 to life in prison, plus 53 years. On March 12, 2009, a jury convicted Honduran national Mancia-Morales, of raping a 75-year-old woman in her Sterling Park home. The attack occurred in August 2008. The victim’s son who was allowed to testify at the sentencing hearing, said: “Since this happened [my mother] is a completely different person. She used to always go out walking with friends. Now she’s always locked up in the house, and she doesn’t go out after dark. Every time I talk to her she breaks down crying…When you walk into her house, there is a shroud of this incident. It’s everywhere you go. You can’t really escape it.” Mancia-Morales broke into the woman’s home by smashing-in her glass door sometime after midnight. Awoken by the noise, the woman went to investigate, and was attacked. Before he was sentenced, the victim’s daughter told the jury how her mother’s life has been impacted by the attack. She told a heart wrenching account of finding her mother one morning, curled up in the fetal position on the floor, weeping, holding onto a book of scriptures and crying out-loud that she wished she had just been killed. At the March 2009 trial, her daughter said: “I didn’t know what to do, so I just held her.” Her daughter told the court that her mother now goes to counseling and no longer goes out after dark. She added: “She is always looking over her shoulder.” Commonwealth's Attorney James E. Plowman told reporters: "This is an atrocious case, and the victim continues to struggle to deal with this” Mancia-Morales is no stranger to the courts. In 2006 he was convicted of felony burglary, and four misdemeanor charges between 2007-2008, two of which were assaults. In 2007, he forced himself on a young girl at the Sterling library, he received a 100-day sentence for the attack, but all of the time was suspended. Apparently, his illegal status was never reported to federal authorities. Incredibly, the day after his sentencing for the rape of the 75-year-old woman, Mancia-Morales was charged with the brutal rape of a 51-year-old woman in the Newberry section of Sterling Park. That attack took place in April 2008. Northern Virginia has been particularly hard-hit with crimes committed by illegal aliens, following that region’s construction boom of recent years. Of course, the construction industry is dominated by illegal aliens who provide builders with very cheap labor. Though the building boom has ended, most of the illegal aliens have remained in the area. The region, along with D.C. has become a stronghold for the violent Salvadoran gang known as MS-13

Stephan, instead of your suggestion, the liberals are probably examining to see if the prison he is going to, has adequate "humane" facilities available, such as--a pool, library, the mandatory "weight lifting" room, etc. Yeah, I'm for bringing back breaking rocks in the hot sun, and seven cents a day for the labor.
I live in Sterling Park and I can tell you this --- I receive email alerts from Loudoun County about local crimes. Everytime I receive one about a crime in Sterling Park, it begins like this: "Police are looking for a Hispanic male..." Jimi is right --- we have enough homegrown criminal lowlifes, we don't need any illegal ones! Illegals have destroyed Sterling Park!
The only time politicians would pay attention to crimes like this is if one of their relatives was a victim. Vote out of office any open borders congressman. Send a clear message that it won't be tolerated any longer. This is much help to victims such as this one. This happens all over the country.

This isn't rocket-science, and it will only motivate hordes of Mexicans (and others) to run for the border at break-neck speed to sneak in so they can be included in any immigration reform programs.
The time is now to build an impenetrable wall and fence from San Diego to the Gulf of Mexico, double / triple the size of the Border Patrol, station armed National Guard troops at all known smuggling routes along the border, conduct more Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, severely restrict those allowed in here, and go after the visa over-stayers (those who visit from Mexico and other countries with legitimate documents and visas and conveniently stay here without returning home). Write, call, and contact you congressmen and senator and tell them how you feel.

If employers didn't hire illegals the illegals wouldn't come, simple as that. Lets make a list of employers, organization and their political friends that want open borders. Guess what guys they are all REPUBLICANS! Chamber of Commerce (Republican), Associated Builders and Contractors Republican), Cato Institute (Republican), National Right to Work (Republican). Even Joe Wilson refused to endorse and vote in favor of a bill that also penalized employers that hired illegal workers.
We need to start holding employers and developers responsible for their actions. Every employer that hires an illegal worker should have their license pulled permanently and be sentenced to three years in Federal jail for each illegal hired.

Let's get real, we need to put EVERY barrier in place possible, from impenetrable walls and fences along the entire border, to mandatory use of the E-Veriy system. And, we need to track down visa-overstayers who come here for a visit using a visa (or other documents), then just stay, never returning home.

I'd be willing to bet, you won't find a fraction of Americans in Mexican jails. And I'm not buying the lame excuse that illegal aliens are here doing the jobs Americans won't. Sure some are hard workers, and I see they do jobs I wouldn't do. But that's still not an excuse for them to sneak in here. Instead, we have too many Mexicans and others here who don't work; they commit crimes in disproportionate numbers, putting citizens at risk from being victims of anything from murder, rape, robbery, and theft to being involved in a hit-and-run accident (because most, if not all, don't have drivers licenses and/or insurance and drive intoxicated and are likely to flee the scene of an accident).

People please see the bigger picture...this is not about illegal aliens, but about crime rates that are increasing and violence that surrounds our community. Please accept the the US is a place full of immigrants not illegal aliens. We all have immigrant blood one way or the other. Throughout the evolution of people we will always want change, more rights, justice, etc. but the reality is that we all make up what the US is about and instead of bashing each other we should try to better or world by finding solutions to crime, violence, global warming, etc. Please educate yourself of what is really going on before you star bashing on race or ethnicity...This is a reflection of our economy, no jobs, low paying jobs, bad education, little education, etc. which will lead to more crime.
