Jerome Ersland
On Thursday, pharmacist Jerome Ersland was freed on a $100,000 bond, after Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater charged him with first-degree murder. On May 19, Ersland shot and killed Antwun Parker, 16, while parker and two other accomplices attempted to rob the Reliable Discount Pharmacy.
The charges allege that Ersland shot Parker five times in the abdomen, while Paker was lying on his back and incapacitated. The prosecutor claims that the robber no longer presented a threat because Ersland had already shot Parker once in the head and was supposedly unconscious. .
Ersland claims that he continued to shoot at Parker because was getting back up, and feared for his life.
One of the conditions of Ersland’s bail is that he have no access to firearms. In a strange turn of events, District Attorney Prater argued that if Ersland goes back to work at the pharmacy, he should be allowed to arm himself.
Prater told the court: “I worry about his safety. He’s already had threats. I worry about his safety, being at work without a weapon.”
However, the judge disagreed and demanded that Ersland remained unarmed until the case is decided.
Shortly after Ersland killed Parker, an angry black mob gathered outside the pharmacy, shouting profanities and threats at Ersland. The 57-year-old Gulf War veteran has reportedly received several threats since the shooting.
Ersland’s attorney, Irven Box maintains that Ersland only acted in self defense and claims that no jury will ever convict his client of murder.
Also on Thursday, police arrested 14-year-old Jevontia Ingram who is an alleged accomplice in the attempted robbery. Ingram is now in a juvenile detention facility.
Also in custody, is the alleged get-away driver, 32-year-old Emanuel Dewayne Mitchell. Ersland ran outside in pursuit of one of the armed robbers and pointed his gun at Mitchell, at which time Mitchell sped away, and actually wrecked the silver Honda he was driving. Police arrested Mitchell shortly thereafter, and discovered that the car was stolen.
Mitchell is a convicted armed robber and kidnapper.
*Reporter’s note: I find it outrageous that Mr. Ersland has been charged with murder. This man was suddenly faced with two armed thugs bursting into his place of business, demanding money and drugs. There were two young women working in the pharmacy at the time as well. Ersland was immediately charged with the task of defending himself and his two employees.
How could Ersland know if Parker had another gun in his waistband or behind his back? He was completely on his own and did not have the luxury of relying on the police to defend him (most of whom would have undoubtedly taken the same action).
The bottom line is this, Ersland saved his own life and the lives of two others, while killing a violent thug. Antwun Parker could have saved his own life, had he not decided to stick a gun in someone’s face and try to take that which was not his.
The district attorney is undoubtedly trying to score points with Oklahoma County’s black voters, many of whom have tried to paint this shooting as racially motivated.

It's disgusting that the real criminal in all of this will never even get slapped on the hand. And by this, I mean the foul little man named David Prater. The DA should be disbarred.

Ersland left the store to chase the other robber, then went back into the store, grabbed another gun in order to continue shooting the first robber he had already shot. That doesn't seem like he feared for his life, it seemed as if he wanted revenge so he pumped 5 more bullets into the already dying robber. If he feared for his safety, he wouldn't have returned to the store after he left the first time. He didn't fear for the safety of the female workers, because he left them in the store as he chased the second robber. Good thing it was caught on tape.
If enough people were to denfend themeselves, perhaps less of these kind of robberies would happen. The black mob needs to rethink the situation. Would they have been okay with it if it had been white boys doing the robbery and being shot by a black store owner. Come on race should not matter. The robbers were wrong not matter what their color.

It's refreshing to read some honest reporting; most journalists wouldn't have had the courage to criticise this decision given the inflametary racial angle.
Imagine the races had been reversed. Would we expect a white mob assembled outside the store on behalf of a dead criminal?

Too bad Mr. Ersland was not able to bring JUSTICE to all the ROBBERS involved. Guess they will live and have more opportunities to kill and rob. Such is life in PC-AmeriKa.
The real victim in this case is Mr. Ersland not the dead boy. He received instant justice.
The real criminal in this case is PCness. Perhaps Mr. Prater should be held on charges of Crimes Against Humanity for looking at this case with PC Eyes.
If these Robbers had broken into his home and threatened him and his family, what would he have done. Surrendered and let his family possible be attacked, rapped, or killed?
Ask yourself Mr. Prater, what would you have done if this had happened to you and your family. I wish you or your family no harm. But Mr. Ersland did not want any harm to come to him self or his staff.
If you leave the criminal alive, chances are he'll end up sueing you later on. Your best bet is to empty the entire clip into any criminals threatening you. That way your self-defense motive is sound, and they be around to sue later.
Ironically self-defense laws make it better to shoot to kill rather than shoot to maim.
On a side note, I hope someone finds and kills every last member of the black mob outside that court house. They're uncivilized savages, and need to be dealt with as such.
Why would the black community gather outside the store to protest? Are you serious? What are they thinking, that it is not all that bad to rob a store with a gun, and you should not be shot for doing that?
It is as simple as this. Blacks believe that they should be given a free pass to commit as many crimes against Whites as they like, for an undetermined amount of years until they feel that the debt of slavery is paid. I don't see any other reason for the Black support of known criminals who attack Whites.
We will never allow our society to fall to the level of morality found in the black community. Let them protest all they want. The predator got exactly what he deserved.
Mr Ersland should be commended for doing his civic duty in dispatching this subhuman piece of filth.

To all the posters expressing outrage over the injustice being done to Jerome Ersland: how many of you would vote for acquittal if you were on his jury, especially if you're facing a majority of black jurors? Most Whites are gutless, that's why men like Jerome Ersland are persecuted. Stand up for your rights. Speak out against black criminality and massive non-White immigration, or lose your country and be prepared to blame no one but yourselves.
Even if he is acquitted, his life has basically been ruined by the DA. The amount of debt he will incur in his defense will be crushing, not to mention the media exposure. DA Prater should be disbarred, and if this man is harmed while out on bail because he has been prevented from arming himself, the judge should be removed from the bench.

I live in Oklahoma. This man is a murderer. You have the right to defend yourself and your property, but when you empty 2 guns into some one, your intent is to kill. He is no better than the men that tried to rob them.
