The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency announced this week that Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. has agreed to pay a $40,000 fine for hiring illegal aliens.
An inspection by ICE discovered Krispy Kreme has hired dozens of illegal aliens at their Cincinnati, OH factory.
According to the terms of the agreement, in addition to paying the fine, the doughnut maker must revamp their hiring process in order to hire only those authorized to work in this country.
Recently, ICE officials announced that 652 businesses across the country will be investigated to see if they are compliant with immigration laws.
Another investigation discovered that 1,800 of American Apparel’s workers were illegal aliens, using fraudulent documents. The company which is located in Los Angeles is the nation’s largest clothing manufacturer, and the 1,800 illegal workers represent a third of of their workforce.
The following is a short list of some of the more high-profile companies recently caught with illegal aliens in their employ:
Agriprocessors Inc. - On May 12, 2008, ICE agents executed criminal and administrative search warrants at Agriprocessors, Inc., in Postville, IA, which resulted in the arrest of 389 illegal aliens. 305 of those arrested were also convicted of criminal offenses.
Pilgrim’s Pride - On April 16, 2007, ICE agents arrested 311 illegal aliens working at five Pilgrim’s Pride sites. Of the 311 arrested, 91 were charged with other criminal violations.
Del Monte Produce - On June 12, 2007, ICE agents arrested 168 illegal alien employees at their Portland, OR facility. In addition to the illegal workers, 13 managers and other workers were arrested and charged with various crimes including selling Social Security cards.
Swift and Company - On Dec. 12, 2006, ICE agents arrested 1,297 illegal aliens at six Swift meat processing factories in six states. 274 of those arrested were also charged with other criminal offenses.
Smithfield Foods - After ICE agents raided the Tar Heel, NC plant and arrested 21 illegal alien workers, 500 workers with fake Social Security numbers were promptly fired from the factory. Another raid in August 2007, netted 28 more illegal aliens, all were from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Mr. Gibson,
Do you know what happened to those illegal aliens working at Krispy Kreme; were they arrested and turned over to ICE? Or were they released for humanitarian reasons to continue to commit crimes?
To Jane, yes you are right they keep them to be
witnesses and then they give them legal residence after 5 years they can get they're 20 or 30 members of they're families in laws, the dogs the cats..thanks to Napolitano who is determined to help this illegal invasion
after 911 more than 70,000 Americans have been killed in the hands of illegal aliens.
Mr. Gibson thank you so much for your great coverege in illegal immigration WAKE UP AMERICA!!

Were the illegal workers deported or released ?
Recent statements in Mexico from both President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary something needs to be done. "Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the deaths of police officers, soldiers, and civilians," she said.
But no mention, concern or care that their refusal to stop the Massive Invasion of Illegal Aliens pouring across our borders or enforce our immigration laws that causes an estimated 25 Americans deaths per day and 10,s of thousands victims of Assault, Robberies, Rapes, Identify thief, and other assorted crimes committed by the invading horde of Illegal Aliens from Mexico on American citizens each year!
Heres what I found out on the net:
No criminal charges were filed against Krispy Kreme or the illegal aliens.
The company agreed to the fine as part of a settlement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The settlement came after federal officials filed a notice to fine against the company.
The article claims the illegal aliens were/are in the process of being deported. I tend not to believe that because if no criminal charges were filed against the illegal aliens, what legal recourse do we have to deport them?

You want to punish Krispy Kreme? Don't buy their product.
Call Congress 866-220-0044 Demand immigration laws be enforced. Our military at the border will keep more crime from entering the U.S. E-Verify was not intended for new hires only. No Match letters mandatory. These people are not immigrants and should not be rewarded with green cards.
I want to thank Dave for these articles. I believe that no country in the world could sustain this sort of conduct and survive. It is criminal on the part of busineses, and criminal on the part of the Immigration Law Enforcement people. If Congress hinders the enforcement of the law, it become criminal conduct on the part of Congress. And since all of these groups are conspiring against the people of this country, and that includes Mr. Obama also, I don't believe we can be optomistic that this process won't spin out of control.
Mr. Gibson, I am offended by your use of the term illegal alien in this article. It is a demeaning and pejorative term meant to dehumanize human beings. While they may be immigrants from another country, and they may not have the proper documentation to be in the U.S., that does not make them an illegal person nor does it make them an alien. When people use the terms illegal alien and invasion, it fuels hate and fear and opens the way for extreme human and civil rights abuses. I suggest readers look at the website www.wecanstopthehate.org to see how many mainstream media outlets are using these words and false information to spread fear, hate, and extremism throughout America, a country built by immigrants.
While your article focuses on enforcement taking place across the U.S., it does not look at the reasons behind the immigration. Enforcement and border control are band-aid solutions for a much bigger problem. Your next article should focus on WHY they are immigrating he
Stop the hate? Of criminality and crime?
Americans are growing with their disgust! And guess what? Mexicans can't have enough Americano
babies to stop this hate!

The term 'illegal alien' is perfectly in keeping with federal law. The term 'illegal' is defined in federal law to describe an idividual who either entered the country without lawful authority OR someone who remained beyond their authorized period of admission. The term 'alien' describes ANYONE who is not a citizen or national of the country.
So, STOPTHEHATE, stop the nonsense. The term does NOT fuel hate and fear - except maybe by you and your ilk. The American public, in general and large part, do not want the illegal alien issue ignored any longer.
Strict border enforcement and deportation of illegal aliens is the correct answer to the problem.
Yes, it is a shame that these people had to leave their home country because of a lack of economic opportunities - but we are NOT the solution to their individual problem. They would do better to go back home and work to make that country a better place.
The majority of undocumented immigrants are not committing crimes, but instead are attempting to make a livelihood which they could not make in their home countries. They are often victims of extortion, labor abuses, human trafficking, slavery, and excessive brutality on the part of ICE officials. To read more about the appalling conditions in detention facilities and police/ICE misconduct, visit www.detentionwatchnetwork.org or www.aclu.org. Being in a country and working without proper documentation does not merit any of this treatment. Nor is not a criminal act; its a civil violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act. See the website www.truthinimmigration.org to read about more myths spread throughout the media about undocumented immigration, myths used to frighten Americans into hating people different from themselves.
You seem to have a lot of passion and love for the “immigrants”who have illegaly snuck into our country. But where is your passion for the 10 million unemployed Americans...hmmm? There are statistics that up to 25% of apprehended illegal aliens have felony records, i.e., murder, rape robbery. But keep posting. Your just fanning the flames. :(
Jane:They don't have to be convicted of a crime to be deported. Also, stop the hate:working with false documents is a felony, stating on your application that you are eligible to work,is a felony;perjury.
While many immigrants are charged with fraud for using false employment documents, the majority do so only to find work so that they can earn money to support themselves and their families, something we all try to do. Government officials decided to charge a great number of the Agriprocessors raid victims with the felony aggravated identity theft so that they would agree to plead guilty and be deported. However, on May 4, 2009 the Supreme Court decided in the case Flores-Figueroa vs. United States that the felony aggravated identity theft only applies to people who knowingly use identities of others to commit crimes, such as stealing money. It does not apply to people using social security numbers simply to work. These immigrants were falsely accused of a felony, as many other deported immigrants have been.
Stopthehate
guess what? This hatred towards invaders is growing. We want you jerks out of here.
You can improve your lives first by using birth control and stop making babies you can't afford to feed.
Get out of the U.S.
STOP THE HATE- ILLEGAL ALIEN defenders....please offer to share your identity with these illegals so we don't have ours stolen. While your at it, share your home with them and give them showers so we don't have to smell them coming out of their crowded house on their way to steal Americcan jobs.
We are tired of these people taking our jobs for less pay simply because it is worth a fortune when they send it to their home country. Thety retire very wealthy on jobs they steal from us due to the great economical desparity!
I hope the INVASION of our country can be stopped soon or we aren't going to have a country left. Our government is pathetic! I want our laws enforced! No more running this country by political correctness! We must go back to the rule of law.
Can you feel the worry and fear in stopthehate?
Americans are waking up like never before!
