Though Fort Hood base commander General Robert Cone told the press that many eyewitnesses reported that the alleged shooter in Thursday’s massacre shouted “Allah Akbar” as he fired off dozens of rounds, Gen. Cone is still not ready to admit that it was a case of Muslim terrorism.
On Friday, the New York Times reported Cone saying that “terrorism had not been ruled out, but that preliminary evidence did not suggest that the rampage had been an act of terrorism."
It may seem strange that the Army is still at least officially, in denial about the motivation behind Maj. Hasan’s attack, but it may simply be a case of trying to cover their own collective posterior. In the short time following the shooting sprees, it has become apparent that Hasan gave every indication that he was becoming a radical Muslim with sympathies towards our enemies.
National Public Radio has reported that Hasan was actually placed on probation while attending the Uniformed Service University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. The measure was taken after Hasan allegedly began attempting to convert both patients and fellow doctors to Islam.
In a Friday night interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Dr. Val Finnel, who was a former classmate of the alleged killer, said that Hasan once did a class presentation entitled “War on Islam.” Finnel said that he and several other classmates objected to the presentation, and complained to the instructor that such material would be allowed in an environmental health class. However, the instructor ignored their complaints.
Finnell went on to say: "I know another student actually approached the faculty about him and called him a 'ticking time bomb'. And that student was concerned because of a PowerPoint presentation that Dr. Hasan gave in a human behavior class which justified suicide bombing."
Just hours after the shooting, Fox News’ anchor Shepard Smith did an interview with Col. Terry Lee (ret.) who worked with Maj. Hasan, and reported some very troubling statements allegedly made by the man now believed responsible for the murder of 12 of his fellow soldiers.
Col. Lee reported that on one occasion, Hasan said that “Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor,” referring to the “aggressor” as the United States.
Lee also said that while he and several other Army officers were discussing a shooting at an Army recruiting station in Little Rock, AR, “he (Hasan) was almost, sort of happy about it.”
When confronted by his fellow officers as to how he could say such a thing, Hasan is reported to have said: “This is what Muslims should do.”
Hasan reportedly continued: “Maybe we should have more of these, where people strap bombs on themselves and go into Times Square.”
The Associated Press has also reported that as far back as six months ago, Hasan came under the scrutiny of law enforcement, after he allegedly made Internet postings about suicide bombings, in which he equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on grenades in order to save their comrades.

"There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that "IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE" and Allah (SWT) knows best."
There are roughly 2,500 Muslims serving in the U.S. military, with 1,500 currently on active duty throughout he world.

oh come on the army didnt ignore signs of anything because there were no signs to ignore! he didnt do this as an act of terrorism he did it because he has a mental problem and didnt want to be deployed to afghanistan. why is it when any crime involving a muslim is commited its an act of terrorism? maybe just maybe alquida isnt involved in every single muslim assosiated crime! how bout that huh?
