Video released of private investigator searching for Caylee Anthony's remains

WFTV.com obtained video of Dominic Casey, a private investigator hired by George and Cindy Anthony, aggressively searching the site where Caylee Anthony's remains were ultimately found.

The video was taken by Mr. Casey's colleague, Jim Hoover, on November 15 and 16, less than a month before the remains were found by Roy Kronk, the meter reader.  This video is important, because it may prove the Anthony's hired private detective had inside information about the whereabouts of Caylee prior to her being found in December.

In the video, Mr. Casey is seen ramming a metal rod into the ground at the crime scene only feet from where Caylee's remains were discovered.  According to WFTV's legal analyst, Bill Sheaffer, Mr. Casey is "almost animal-like."  Mr. Casey seems more concerned with finding the remains than preserving "the integrity of the crime scene," said Sheaffer.

Hoover, who provided the video to WFTV, did not allow audio of the tape to be recorded, but reporter Kathi Belich listened to the tape and heard Mr. Casey say into his cell phone, "It would be right here."  Sheaffer believes this is a reference to Caylee's body, which begs the question--who is on the other end of the phone?

The tape was turned over to detectives from Orange County and the FBI when Hoover realized it may be of evidentiary value.

Casey remains in jail for the first-degree murder of little Caylee along with other charges.
