On Wednesday, Phillip Garrido and his wife, Nancy, were taken into custody, when they walked into an Antioch police station with Jaycee Lee Dugard and her two children.
Jaycee went missing in 1991 at the age of 11, when she was abducted from a school bus stop in South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Jaycee apparently bore Garrido two children, the first when she was only 14, and all were required to remain in sheds in a hidden backyard—one built to be soundproof. There was a rudimentary outhouse and shower in a campground-like compound covered by tarps. To See the hidden backyard, click here.
Last week, Jaycee and her two daughters, Starlet, 15, and Angel, 11, had an emotional reunion last week with Terry Probyn, Jaycee’s mother. Ironically, Angel is the same age Jaycee was when she disappeared 18 years ago.
Garrido and his wife have pleaded not guilty to numerous charges of kidnapping, rape, and false imprisonment with regard to Jaycee.

Probyn’s tireless search for her daughter was captured in pictures, as seen in the photos below from 1991:
