On Wednesday afternoon Skyline College in San Bruno, Calif. was in lockdown mode after a campus shooting left one student shot and others in fear.
The community college currently has a message on its Website, which reads,
Emergency Notification: We have had a shooting on campus and are now in lockdown. Please shelter in place, away from windows, with doors shut until further notice. We sent an emergency text message to all students. Wednesday evening classes have been cancelled.”
Three male suspects, one carrying a gun and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, are being sought by police with the assistance of the SWAT team. San Bruno Police Lieutenant Marc Catalano said the shooting took place around 1:30 p.m.
“The suspects involved in this fled north from the parking lot in a possible fluorescent purple Ford Escort. The suspects are described as three African American males, 18 years old,” said Catalano.
KCBS reports the single shooting victim was shot in the buttocks and his injuries were not life-threatening.
Over 3,000 students and staff were evacuated from the college campus after the two-hour lockdown ended.
