Jada Justice
As the family of Haylee Donathan rejoice at her safe return home, the family of Jada Justice are desperate to find their little girl, who disappeared almost two weeks ago.
Jada Justice, 2, went missing on June 16 at about 9:40 p.m., when her 18-year-old babysitter said she left Jada in the back seat of the car while she went into a gas station convenience store to buy cigarettes and milk.
According to Jada’s mother, Melissa Swiontek, police are working around the clock to find Jada.
Swiontek told Nancy Grace that she asked the babysitter, Engelica Castillo why she left the car unlocked and parked on the side of the gas station instead of the front. “…she just keeps telling me ‘I don’t know, I don’t know. I was just running in real quick.’”
She said she spoke to a gas station attendant who saw Castillo. He told Swiontek that Castillo’s demeanor was normal until she returned appearing to be hysterical.
Swiontek and Jada’s father, who has regular visitation with the toddler, have both taken polygraph tests, however, as of Tuesday, Castillo had not taken one.
According to Swiontek, Jada had never opened a car door and she did not believe Jada could have opened the door of Castillo’s car, which is reported to be a 1991 Cadillac.
On Monday, Lake County prosecutors met to review the case, but are waiting to see how it plays out, according to spokesperson Diane Poulton. "Nothing's been rejected. Nothing's been filed," she said.
Jada is described as an African American female child, about 2 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing 35 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes, and a light brown complexion. When she disappeared, she was wearing a white tank top with orange and green stripes, an orange skirt, white sandals, and purple underwear.
If you have any information regarding Jada, please call 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324).

Wow! A missing child of color in the news. You'd think only white kids went missing. I wonder how long the media will stay on top of this.
You mean kids of color actually go missing? It's not in the news. How could that be possible?
Wow, there's always SOMEBODY out there making EVERYTHING about RACE. PATHETIC!! Why don't you just pray the child is found well, if you believe in prayer? If not, the least you could both do is KNOCK OFF that chip off your shoulders. BTW, I'm probably blacker than the both of you, but you are CLUELESS!!
I will park in the handicap space if I were running in right "quick"!
I don't think that baby was even in the back seat when she pulled in to the gas station.
Black man? I hope the media beats it to peices until this beautiful little girl is found.
It is a TRAVESTY to learn that ANY child has gone missing, regardless of the child's race, economic standing, etc. I wish the world were not a racist place, but it is but that is neither here nor there. We as parents have a responsibility to keep better tabs on our children and have better judgment about who we allow to keep our children for us. As for the child, I prayed fervently for her return last night, as I did with Haylee when she was missing and all the other children that have been profiled on television. I could not imagine what these parents must be going through. I would be devastated if my son went missing. At the end of the day, something as awful as a missing child, should have to endured by ANYONE, regardless of race. Peace.
My last sentence should have read, "At the end of the day, something as awful as a missing child, should not have to be endured by ANYONE, regardless of race." I left out the word "not" by mistake.
Please Please find this adorable little girl. My heart is just breaking, to think she is prolly so scared. I am praying very hard for her safe return.
To "Black Woman"....WOW....If I were "running in quick"....I would take the time to take my child out of the car seat and bring her/him in with me......Are you kidding me.....that's the problem with the world (well one part) is people are not taking responsibility for their kids......And you say what?? You are surprised to see a "black" child that is missing on the news??? You must not watch the news much!!??
I was still thinkin about this and I read on another page how the cousin was watching her for a week. No big deal there, but, she was in her care for a whole week, which means anything could have happened...because, though I believe strongly she should have NEVER left that little girl alone, if she just ran in the store and ran back out, she or someone would have seen something.....someone running from the car with the little girl....someone at the car.....SOMETHING.....it could NOT have happened that fast without someone KNOWING that little girl was in the car alone. My son has a cadillac just like that....well, different color, but anyways.....you cannot see in the car that easily to have knwon a little kid is in the back seat. I'm cusrious, did the cops actually see the car seat in the BACKSEAT.....or was it in the front?? Either way, someone would still have to have been watching and know that she was left alone. I think, unfortunately, something else happened I pray for Jada!!!!
Well i have been following the story and reading comments and the only conclusion that i can come up with is to just pray. No matter who the child was with or who toke her we just need to pray, it's all in GODS hands right now in some situation all you can say is "GOD let your will be done".
This little girl is missing due to negligence! And you are fighting about where she is white or black and blah blah blah bullshit! I don't see people in colors! I see PEOPLE! She is missing because the babysitter wasn't smart enough to realize what kind of sick sad world we live in! Stop putting you faith in something that isn't there!!!! "God's plan" is BS! Stop wasting time by sitting on your butt praying and get out there and do something!
