Melissa Huckaby appeared in court on Friday and again delayed entering a plea in court.
Huckaby is charged with the abduction, rape, and murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu, along with a number of new charges.
These charges include the alleged drugging of two people: a man and a 7-year-old child.
Huckaby is charged with “furnishing a harmful substance,” by either food or drink on Mar. 2, to a man named Daniel Plowman.
She is also charged with felony child endangerment and “furnishing a harmful substance” to a girl only identified as “Jane M. Doe.”
Court documents say Huckaby “willfully and unlawfully mingled a harmful substance with food or drink” in both of these cases.
According to ABC News, “Jane M. Doe’s” older sister said the girl went missing in Jan. and when she returned home, “Her speech was slurred… like she had a really bad lisp. And she would cry a lot like something was wrong with her."
"She couldn’t stand up without help. She couldn’t walk. Every time she tried to walk, she would fall. So they took her to the hospital, and the hospital told us that she had muscle relaxants in her system,” said the girl's sister.
Friday was the third time Huckaby appeared in court without entering a plea. Her attorney, Sam Behar, said he received 1,000 pages of evidence on Thursday and was not ready to enter a plea in the case.
Huckaby’s hearing has now been delayed until June 12.

This Huckaby lady needs to stop crying in the news. I hope she dont think people are going to feel sorry for her.She took this beautiful little girl and killed her. For what reason I don't know, but I hope she's not praying for forgiveness cause she shouldn't be forgiving. I hope she is put to death.She is uselesss to society and doesn't deserve to be with the living.
This woman is completely disgusting and she is a monster. Quit wasting all this money on her and just get a bullet and a gun and solve the problem. There is no fixing people like this. We need to start setting an example to all these other child and sex predators......we need to let them know they are not accepted in this society and we wont have them around we want them to be killed and swiftly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more destroying lives of the young and innocent....I would not hurt one bit for a monster that can hurt any child or sexually abuse, rape or force yourself on any man, woman, or child!
